Built at the end of the Edo Period, this was the home of a wealthy farming family descended from samurai. The main residence, which was built in the typical Matsumoto style of folk architecture, and the beautiful garden have been preserved and is open for public viewing. The building, as well as all of its natural surroundings have been designated as Important Cultural Property.
